Sonic the hedgehog 4!

I loved Sonic the hedgehog when I was little. I preferred him to Mario! He was cooler anyway at that age. I even bought the comics and drew him and all his friends or whatever.

But now Sega are talking about going back their roots and making Sonic the Hedgehog 4. A true sequel to the original series. I would be excited but I have read that some hardcore fans are not after seeing the trailer. I feel the same. Sega made two big mistakes. Sonic looked very stiff and you could see his legs moving even at top speed. Yeah it's not a big deal but it's freakin' Sonic the Hedgehog!!! He didn't look like he putting any effort into running! I remember his awesome blurry spinny legs at top speed and leaning into running in the more retro games but here there is no spirit and that WAS what the fans wanted after all.

Second BIG BIG BIIIIG mistake was.... episode 1. Yeah it is episodic. I don't get it! I need to download ALL the episodes to play the full game? Are they gonna sell me stage at a time? I can't just blaze through all the levels?!?! Sonic doesn't stop for no episodes!? It's a bloody platforming game not an epic novel. (Something which Sonic will never reach in the gaming industry.) I don't think it would keep my attention that long.

A group of individuals have made a petition to buy/download Sonic 1 on different formats instead on the release date of Sonic 4. That's stupid... YOU'RE STILL GIVING SEGA MONEY!! For something you probably already have if you care as much to join the petition. Well done! That is one of the most backwards protests ever.

Anyway I wish Sega luck in this new... whatever cause I want it to work. But it won't. At least I have my Sonic Mega Collection!
